How to Publish Articles from Katteb Directly to WordPress — One-Click Publishing Guide

Once your WordPress site is connected via the Katteb Connect plugin, you can publish any article from the Katteb dashboard to WordPress in a single click — with full control over the category, author, post status, and featured image.

Manual Publishing (One-Click)

  1. Open any generated article in the Katteb Article Editor
  2. Click the "Publish to WordPress" button in the editor toolbar
  3. In the publishing modal, select:
  • Target site — Choose from your connected WordPress sites
  • Category — Pick a WordPress category (fetched live from your site)
  • Author — Select from available WordPress users (Administrators, Editors, or Authors)
  • Post status — Publish immediately or save as Draft for review
  1. Click "Publish" — your article is sent to WordPress instantly
  2. A success message appears with a direct "View Post" link to see it on your site

Automatic Scheduled Publishing

You can also set articles to publish automatically using the Content Planner:

  1. Go to Content Planner and schedule a new article
  2. Enable the "Auto-Publish to WordPress" toggle
  3. Select your target site, category, author, and post status
  4. Set your publish date and time
  5. When the article finishes generating, it's automatically pushed to WordPress — no manual step needed

What Gets Published?

When Katteb sends an article to WordPress, the full package includes:

  • Article content — Full HTML with headings, lists, tables, and formatting
  • Featured image — Automatically downloaded to your WordPress Media Library and set as the post thumbnail
  • In-article images — All images are sideloaded from Katteb's CDN into your local media library
  • SEO schema markup — JSON-LD structured data is stored in post meta and injected into the page <head>
  • Call to Action blocks — Brand-specific CTA blocks with custom styling are preserved
  • Internal links — All article links are maintained during the publishing process

Content Cleanup

Before sending content to WordPress, Katteb automatically:

  • Strips unnecessary CSS <style> blocks to prevent theme conflicts
  • Removes system-specific wrapper IDs that could cause collisions
  • Preserves table styling and CTA branding through a shielding mechanism
  • Converts relative image paths to absolute URLs for proper download
